Taxi crash kills four in Limpopo, 11 still trapped

March 10, 2008, 08:45

Four people have been killed after a collision between a truck and a minibus taxi in Limpopo. The accident occurred between Louis Trichard and Musina this morning.

Paramedics are still trying to free 11 critically injured people who are trapped inside the taxi.

"The road is partly closed as we speak and we want to advise motorists to slow down when they approach the area so that we don't have any further mishaps. But we also want to ask motorists to drive responsibly because speeding and any reckless driving leads to these types of accidents and we want to appeal to our people to be more responsible than they are now," Limpopo Roads and Transport spokesperson Boikie Tsedu said.
