Johannesburg police say a blood sample was not taken from Kwaito singer Mandoza after the crash last night in which two people died. Police say Mandoza was on an intravenous drip at the time and they could not draw blood from him.
The singer was driving on the N1 north when he crashed his vehicle into another car near the 14th avenue off ramp. Mandoza crashed into the car from the rear, causing the driver to lose control and overturn. The driver and passenger were trapped in the vehicle and died at the scene. Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
Metro police spokesperson Edna Momonyane says Mandoza, who was slightly injured, was taken to Flora Clinic.
