Residents of the floods ravaged village of Klipvoor near Brits in the North West, will have to wait a little longer before the damaged roads and bridges are repaired.
Residents of Klipvoor and Kwariekraal near Brits were left stranded after roads and bridges were damaged due to flooded streams and rivers.
The mayor of Madibeng Local Municipality, Sophy Molokwane, says scores of residents have been stranded for almost two weeks. Schooling has virtual come to a standstill.
Over 500 food parcels have been delivered to the villagers and farm workers in the Arson area. Some farmers have also been forced to evacuate their properties.
Southern Africa has seen a number of flooding incidents in recent months. The cause of the flooding is believed to be global warming.
