Engenas Lekganyane, the bishop of the St Engenas Zion Christian Church, has challenged millions of his followers to take bold steps in the fight against dreaded diseases such as HIV and Aids. The bishop was giving his Easter message to millions of his followers at Boyne-Moria outside Polokwane in Limpopo.
The bishop echoed a need for family values to be upheld and preached abstinence as an effective way of reducing HIV/Aids infections. He called for world peace and reconciliation, saying it's time for nations to start working together.
After the service, millions started leaving Moria at the end of the gathering and heavy traffic will pick up on the R71 between Moria and Polokwane. It is expected that a noticable reduction in traffic volume will only be seen tomorrow, when the last of the pilgrims leave Moria.
Border gates to both Zimbabwe and Botswana are expected to be busier than usual as both pilgrims and holidaymakers rush home.
