Nine people were arrested at the Walter Sisulu University today after disrupting programming at the campus radio station, Eastern Cape police said.
Superintendent Mike Fatyela said the protesters included the radio station's suspended manager. They were apparently protesting as the new station manager was due to take over operations today.
Fatyela said the group was interdicted two weeks ago after they first disrupted operations at the radio station.
The nine were arrested and face charges of disruption and malicious damage to property. They will appear in court soon. - Sapa
