A meeting to discuss outstanding matric results at Khutsong west of Johannesburg almost turned ugly after learners threatened to assault North West's Acting Education Director General Dr Shadrack Mvula.
The learners accused Mvula of intentionally holding back their matric results. The 62 learners from Badirile High School have not yet received their results.
They suspect this could be related to the protests and disruptions in Khutsong last year. However, the provincial department says the delay is due to the learners' year mark assessments being late.
