Matriculants urged to accept results

December 23, 2007, 16:45

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Education Ina Cronje has called on matriculants to accept their final year results.

This follows allegations that SMSs have been circulated by some pupils that they will commit suicide if they fail the exams.

Cronje has assured pupils that there is life after failing matric and it's not the end of the world.

She has urged members of the community and parents to take pupils for counselling if they suspect any suspicious behaviour.

Matric results are expected to be released on December 28.
