There has been a new twist in the saga surrounding the death of Tertius Bosch, former national cricketer. Evidence is mounting in a renewed police investigation into allegations that Bosch did not die from Guillain Barré syndrome in 2000.
Bosch's remains were exhumed for the second time last November. Anton Booysen, a Durban police superintendent, says the forensic unit will announce the results of tests in two-weeks time.
Another twist is a report by a senior toxicologist at the University of Natal who analysed Bosch's hospital records. This report claims that Bosch did not die from the Guillain Barré syndrome.
Police are also investigating a R1 million fraud claim regarding a life policy that was paid out after Bosch's death.
