Police are opening a second docket to investigate possible fraud pertaining to the estate of former South African cricketer Tertius Bosch. This was announced yesterday ,after autopsy results supported allegations that Bosch may have been poisoned. Bosch died last February. He was 38-years-old and was suffering from Guillame Barre-syndrome.
It was accepted that Bosch died because of his illness, which causes muscle deterioration and paralysis and, in 5% of cases, death. An autopsy was never performed.
Bosch's relatives applied to have his body exhumed after they come across irregularities in his estate and dentistry practice. After the autopsy, pathologist Reggie Perumal confirmed that the clinical presentation of Bosch's body indicated possible poisoning.
The samples Perumal took have been sent for extensive testing. Bosch left instructions that all his money should go to his seven-year-old son Corbin. He was also survived by his wife, Karen-Anne, and three-year-old Eaton.
