Former Fidentia boss, J Arthur Brown is to stay behind bars for another night. The Cape Town Magistrate's Court will only hand down a ruling tomorrow on whether his bail should be cancelled.
Brown appeared in court today on fresh charges of theft, money laundering and fraud. Brown's lawyer William Booth has asked the Cape Town Magistrate's Court to compel the State to join all criminal charges against his client.
Brown was arrested last Friday on new charges of theft, money laundering and fraud. He is facing two other separate charges in relation to his alleged involvement in the disappearance of millions of rand in investor money.
Earlier, the State asked that the matter be postponed for seven days to finalise its investigation. It also indicated that it intended to apply for the cancellation of Brown's bail.
