Zuma’s Mauritius case postponed

ANC President Jacob Zuma

Zuma's Mauritian case has been postponed

May 07, 2008, 17:15

ANC President Jacob Zuma's Mauritian court bid is set to be dragged out even longer. It has been postponed to the 6th of June.

The case has been postponed for Zuma's lawyers to file further affidavits. The NPA says the delays won't impact on the trial set to take place in August.

In March, Zuma lodged an application requesting permission to prevent the NPA from accessing certain original documents. These could be used in the criminal case against him in South Africa.

The Mauritian Attorney General has, however objected to his request.
