KZN robbers flee with cash after Ulundi shoot-out

Armed suspects have escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash after a shoot-out with police in Ulundi, in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. Police say the suspects blew up an ATM at a petrol station in the early hours of this morning.

Their accomplices at the entrance then opened fire on police officers who arrived at the station to fill their vehicles with petrol. No one was wounded during the shooting.

The suspects managed to escape with the money in two vehicles and are still at large.
