In the Khayelitsha area alone eight stolen vehicles were recovered with eight men aged between 21 and 42 arrested.

They were all due to appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrate's Court today. Other cars were recovered in Nyanga, Guguletu and Grassy Park. Three men were arrested for car theft in Claremont and would appear in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court today.

The recovered vehicles were impounded in Bellville South and in Stikland where stolen and recovered cars were kept until they could be returned to their owners.
