SA top cop takes stand in Sheldean murder case

March 27, 2008, 13:30

Top police investigator Director Piet Byleveld has testified in the Pretoria High court that the accused murderer of Sheldean Human had told him he was willing to make certain admissions and point out scenes.

Andrew Jordaan is facing six charges including kidnapping, rape and murder. Byleveld testified that he was asked to assist in the investigation around Sheldean's disappearance in March last year.

He told the court he questioned Jordaan. The court is currently deciding in a trial within a trial whether this evidence will be admissible.
