120 arrested in E Cape crime sweep operation

East London police have arrested more than 120 suspects during a weekend operation.

Police spokesperson Mtati Tana says 16 suspects have been arrested for drunken driving, 60 for being drunk and disorderly in public and seven for being in possession of cocaine.

Others were arrested on charges varying from murder to copper wire theft.
