31 people arrested in Vosloorus

Ekurhuleni police have arrested 31 people for crimes including drinking in public and drinking and driving in operations in Vosloorus.

Police spokesperson Jimmy Maboko says the arrests were made in a roadblock as well as in stop and search operations. He says the suspects were arrested for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm, assault and malicious damage to property.

They will appear in the Vosloorus Magistrate's Court tomorrow. Maboko says they will continue with the operations to ensure that Easter holidays are safe.
