Judgment on the fraud case involving former Lesedi FM presenters, Thuso and Mamontha Motaung, and businessman Joshua Ramme is expected next Wednesday.
This comes after the magistrate ruled in favour of the defence that Andre Bouwer, a private investigator who worked with SABC Internal Audit, cannot take the stand because his testimony would be based on hearsay. The State decided not to call other witnesses and closed its case.
Motaung and his wife Mamontha, together with Ramme, are accussed of defrauding the SABC of R32 million.
Yesterday Lesedi FM station manager Pula Pula Mothibi testified that the on-air promotion of Power Mix was in line with a contractual agreement between the SABC and the company that produced the product.
