Third suspect arrested for E Cape murders

An Eastern Cape police task team investigating the murders of 18 people in the Mzamba area has arrested a third suspect - this time in Port Elizabeth.

Police say he is from the former Transkei but fled to the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro to hide out after two other arrests.

The three suspects are facing charges of murder, rape and attempted murder. A 19-year-old high school pupil appeared in court yesterday and will make another appearance next Tuesday for bail application.
