President Mbeki suspended Pikoli on September 24 last year
|
February 12, 2008, 14:00
Suspended head of Public Prosecutions, Vusi Pikoli, is expected to make his submission to the Ginwala Commission on Friday this week. Pikoli is to give his side of the story regarding events leading up to his suspension.
He was scheduled to make his submission on January 31, but this date was revised following delays on the part of government. The State will in turn have until February 25 to submit its response to Pikoli to the commission.
The commission, headed by former speaker of Parliament Frene Ginwala, was appointed by President Thabo Mbeki in September 2007 to investigate Pikoli's fitness to hold office.
