Najwa has been denied bail twice and lost a previous appeal when her first application was rejected
|
January 03, 2008, 07:15
Murder accused Najwa Petersen is set to launch a second appeal on her bail application in the Cape High Court today. Petersen was arrested in June last year, along with three others, for the murder of her husband, theatre legend Taliep Petersen.
She has been denied bail twice and lost a previous appeal when her first bail application was turned down. The four will be facing charges of murder, possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition and two counts of robbery when their trial starts in the Cape High court towards the end of next month.
Taliep was found shot and killed in their Athlone home on December 16, 2006.
