Northern Cape police have arrested 35 people in Galeshewe in Kimberley during a crime prevention operation.
Police spokesperson Tony Modise says the suspects - among them many young people - were arrested for a variety of crimes. Police maintained a strong presence on the streets of Kimberley yesterday, resulting in a very peaceful evening.
Modise says although no serious crimes were reported, police are worried about the consumption of alcohol by youngsters.
