Suspended Goodwood police station commander Siphiwo Hewana will meet with lawyers and police union Popcru tomorrow to prepare court papers.
Hewana was suspended following allegations that he gave conflicting statements on the time of the arrest of former ANC chief whip Tony Yengeni for alleged drunken driving.
Hewana is facing charges of intimidation and obstruction of justice in terms of the suspension.
He wants to challenge his suspension in a court of law. Hewana has been accused by Western Cape police management of keeping Yengeni's blood sample back to protect him.
