April 23, 2006, 15:45
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) says it will abide by any findings made by the justice department regarding allegations of tender rigging and corruption against Marion Sparg, the NPA chief executive, and her executive management team.
This follows a report by the Sunday Times which says the alleged transgressions took place during the tenure of Bulelani Ngcuka, the former NPA head.
Makhosini Nkosi, the NPA spokesperson, says it is regrettable that Sparg and others had to learn of such allegations from a Sunday newspaper.
