President Jacob Zuma has denied asking that former AU Commission Chair Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma be appointed the deputy of the country.
This follows media reports that Zuma met Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa on the 7th of January to make several demands and asked him to have Dlamini-Zuma as his deputy.
In a statement, the presidency confirmed the meeting of the two leaders, but denied that Zuma made any demands to Ramaphosa.
The statement says the two met to discuss issues including President Zuma’s intention to set up a commission of inquiry into state capture.
