Zimu to be buried at Kromvlei cemetery

Gospel musician Neyi Zimu will be buried at the Kromvlei cemetery in Alberton East of Johannesburg on Wednesday.

Zimu died at the Busamed Hospital in Modderfontein, north east of Johannesburg after battling a long illness.

The “Jehova Retshepile Wena” hit maker died from a rare illness at the age of 49, leaving behind his wife and three children.

The musician has been described as a dedicated family man, who pursued his dreams and never gave up easily.

He began his music career singing gospel from the early 90s, when he was a member of Joyous Celebration and Family Factory before venturing out as a solo artist.

His friends and colleagues in the industry have hailed Zimu as a singer who was always committed to his craft.

The funeral service will start at the House of Treasures Ministries, in Rispark Johannesburg South.
