The Zimbabwean Defence Force has commended citizens for their calm and patience during the country’s current military operation.
The military has issued a statement on the unfolding developments in that country following a meeting with Mugabe and envoys from SADC at the country’s State House in the capital Harare on Thursday.
The military says it has made significant progress in its operation to go after what it terms criminals who have been hell bent on destabilising the country by dividing the ruling party.
In a statement released on Friday, it says it is interacting with its Commander in Chief President Robert Mugabe on a way forward for the country and an outcome will be announced soon.
It says he has also briefed the various diplomatic missions stationed in the country on the situation and have called on other security services to continue with their duties without hindering the Defence Force’s operation.
The military has rebuked individuals and groups that are purporting to be speaking on its behalf.
