Zimbabwe and Botswana to hold bi-national commission

Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi is currently in Zimbabwe. Masisi arrived in Harare on Wednesday afternoon and was received by President Emmerson Mngangagwa and vice President Constantino Chiwenga.

Upon his arrival, President Masisi was met by the President of Zimbabwe accompanied by his vice president at the Robert Mugabe International Airport.

This was vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s first public appearance since he returned from India where he was receiving medical attention.  The two countries will hold a bi-national commission on Thursday with the aim of strengthening relations between Harare and Gabarone.

Meanwhile, the office of the president of Botswana has dismissed reports that Botswana will give Zimbabwe a credit line worth $600 million.

On the 12 March, Mnangagwa will host South African President Cyril Ramaphosa during the South Africa-Zimbabwe commission. Click below for more on the story:
