Sihle Zikalala the Provincial Coordinator for the KwaZulu-Natal African National Congress (ANC) says former President Jacob Zuma has no influence on the leadership of the province.
This after chaos erupted at the ANC provincial conference at the weekend. Reports allege that a deal, which could have secured unity in the province, was sunk on the orders of Zuma.
On Friday night, organisers went ahead with a consultative meeting instead of an elective conference, after an urgent court interdict was filed by a faction of the provincial ANC.
