Minister of Sports and Recreation, Thokozile Xasa, has shown excitement on women’s progress in sports particularly, Banyana Banyana for their recent positive improvement, and says the women’s team needs proper support.
The minister also says that the treatment of women in football should be the same as of men. She says they should also be given same opportunities and get paid same as Bafana Bafana players.
Xasa also highlighted that the department has struck a deal with the Department of Basic Education to make sure sports do take place in schools.
