Wits turn attention to PSL following Caf campaign

Reading Time: < 1 minute

From a massive 6-0 victory in the Caf Confederations Cup, Bidvest Wits have now turned their attention to the Absa Premiership.

The Students take on SuperSport United at BidVest Stadium on Friday evening. Wits have quietly gone well in their league clashes, winning five of their six matches.

With SuperSport coming into the fixture on a high, having won the MTN8 and with key players in Thamsanqa Gabuza and Bradley Grobler performing consistently, Wits’ mentor Gavin Hunt admits they will be facing a good side.

Wits will welcome back captain Thulani Hlatshwayo, after being away to attend to family matters.

The Clever Boys are the only team who played six games with 15 points and sit an impressive third on the table, but Hunt says that games in hand count for nothing.

Meanwhile the Braamfontein based side midfielder Gift Motupa indicates that they are looking forward to Friday’s clash. – Report by Sinovuyo Ndudane
