Wits says it has finalised 2018 academic year applications

Wits University says it has finalised its applications for the 2018 academic year and will no longer be accepting any further applications.

The closing date for new applications was September 2017.

The University says it has received more than 56 000 applications for 2018.

Wits University Registrar Carol Crosley has urged students to look for other options if they have not been accepted at universities.

“We encouraged students, matriculants to look at various options not just universities; to look at Tvet colleges; to look at private colleges. There are various option open to students. We would like to encourage students to look at the whole of the post schooling training sector for option to flow should they not be accepted at the university of their choice. We also recommend that they contact the Central Application Query because they are acting as the point of referral for the students who have been accepted at the university of their choice.”
