Who will be the DA’s next National Leader?

The Democratic Alliance (DA) will hold its Federal Congress in May this year for the election of the National Leader.

Last week, former DA Youth leader Mbali Ntuli announced her candidacy for the role. Ntuli is currently a Member of the Provincial Legislature in KwaZulu-Natal.

She has pledged among others to restore confidence in the party, provide clarity on policy and bring back fairness to the party.

John Steehuisen is currently the DA’s interim leader after having been elected into the position in November 2019.

The party’s Gauteng Provincial Leader, John Moodey, will also battle for the position.

On Monday, the DA’s Western Cape Provincial Leader Bonginkosi Madikizela confirmed that he will not be contesting for the position.
