The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of severe thunderstorms in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday night. The storms are expected to hit the uMsunduzi municipality moving towards the Ugu district municipality on the south coast.
Weather forecaster Wisani Maluleke says certain areas will experience strong damaging winds with hail.
There is currently thunderstorm activity over the Pietermaritzburg area, Richmond area and Harding. These thunderstorms are moving towards the coastal areas.
Areas like Margate, Port Sheptone and Durban should expect thunderstorms to reach these areas by Monday afternoon and evening. There are high expectations that these thunderstorms will come with showers, some areas might even get hail.
