We need a more offensive approach against Namibia: Kekana

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Bafana Bafana Midfielder Hlompho Kekana is one player in this squad who understands the African football conditions very well and many are expecting him to play a prominent role in this 2019 African Nations Cup campaign.

For the past five years, Kekana has been competing regularly in the African Champions Leagues space with Mamelodi Sundowns under Pitso Mosimane.

In 2016, he led the Brazilians to their maiden Caf Champions League title and such is his prominence on the continent that many at this Afcon here in Cairo, have been asking why he’s not a regular in this team.

But the man from Zebediela in Limpopo is also known for his modesty and says it’s about the team.

In this interview with SABC Sport senior journalist, Kekana says Friday’s game against Namibia is a must-win to bounce back from the 1-0 loss to Ivory Coast. – Reporting by Velile Mnyandu
