Gauteng premier Nomvula Mokonyane says Freedom Day is an opportunity to celebrate the gains of the past 20 years, which is an emotional day for her. In an exclusive interview with SABC Digital News, the Gauteng number one says “some of us were away, like myself I was running an election operations centre in Limpopo, deployed by former president Nelson Mandela”, thus emphasising the emotion behind celebrating such an occasion.
