Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng presents an annual report on Judicial Functions for the 2017/2018 financial year, at the Constitutional Court in Johannesburg.
This will be a historic event, as it’s the first time the Judiciary will take the lead in accounting for its work. The country’s Constitution states that the Judiciary is independent and subject only to the Constitution and the law.
23 November will also be known as Legal Day, an annual event during which the Chief Justice will present Judiciary Annual Performance Report and deliver an address on the state of the Judiciary.
He is accompanied by the Heads of Court, representing the judicial system’s various divisions around the country.
