The wife of murdered renowned South African artist, Walter Meyer has been released on R2 000 bail after appearing at the Upington Magistrates Court in Northern Cape on Monday.
The state alleges that twenty-nine-year-old Sophia Meyer stabbed her 52-year-old husband to death during a quarrel in December last year. NPA spokesperson Phaladi Shuping says the case has been postponed to February for further investigations.
Meyers was an artist whose work was celebrated worldwide. His paintings have been exhibited in galleries across the globe for the past three decades.
