The Western Cape Department of Economic Opportunities has launched the 10th annual Prestige Agri-Awards.
The awards are co-sponsored by the provincial Department of Agriculture and a large retail supermarket chain, which seeks to recognise the hard work and dedication of the thousands of people working in the agricultural sector.
Provincial Minister, Alan Winde, says regional winners will go on to compete for provincial honours in November.
“Sixteen regional winners will be chosen in 11 different categories from general workers, tractor drivers, administrative personnel, agri processing, junior and middle management. Once again, this competition recognises the excellent work that’s taking place,” says Winde.
