Reading Time: < 1 minute

The University of Mpumalanga’s management is meeting Wednesday morning to discuss a way forward following the disruption of an exam paper on Tuesday afternoon.

The university’s Dean of Students, Dr Paul Maminza says the exams were disrupted by workers who were picketing to call for the removal of its vice chancellor.

The workers, who are affiliated to the National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu), have been picketing since the beginning of this week.

They are accusing the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof Thoko Mayekiso and other members of the management of corruption and mismanagement.
