A call has been made directly to the United Nations Security Council to use its multilateral toolbox to support and enable the African Women in Dialogue processes throughout the continent.
During a debate on Conflict Prevention and Resolution in Africa with a focus on the role of preventative diplomacy and the role of women in particular. Council members received briefings from UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and various women civil society representatives that included both the South African and African Women in Dialogue chapters.
