Uganda seeks aid with refugee influx

Aid agencies working in Uganda have called on the international community to support the East African nation’s refugee programs currently facing cash constraints following an influx of refugees.

They say while the rest of the world is closing its doors to refugees, Uganda’s progressive refugee policy has allowed 1.3 million people to settle in the country and should be supported in offering the refugees a life of dignity.

The SABC spoke to the Country Director of Save the Children Uganda, Brechtje Vanlith.
