Two people have been arrested for the distribution of illegal medicines worth about R1 million at Kenilworth in Cape Town.
Hawks spokesperson, Philani Nkwalase says the men were found with packaged schedule medicine which were destined for countries like the United States and United Kingdom.
The investigating team arrested the suspect at Kenilworth’s Post Office after he handed in envelopes containing schedule medicines that were destined for the USA.
Preliminary investigations led to a search and seizure at the suspect’s premises in Kenilworth.
At the premises another 54-year old suspect was arrested.
