Police are investigating two cases of murder and attempted murder following a shooting in which two people were killed in Marlboro, north of Johannesburg.

Two men from the Alexandra Randburg Midrand Sandton Taxi Association(ARMSTA) were gunned down on Thursday night.

The deceased have not yet been identified but it’s believed that one of the victims is a senior member of the association.

ARMSTA spokesperson, John Mnisi,  says the motive for the shooting is unknown.

“There were three members from our association, the Chairperson and two members. They were driving home, and they were shot at by two vehicles from a Caltex garage – and my Chairperson and the other member died at the scene and the other guy survived. He is currently in hospital.”
