Cape Town Police have arrested two suspects, aged 26 and 36, in connection with the murder of an off duty police officer in Gugulethu.
Police spokesperson, Andre Traut, says the constable was shot and killed during a robbery at a local spaza shop in Barcelona informal settlement.
Traut says police officers made the arrest shortly after the incident.
Their accomplices and the firearm used in the murder are still being sought.
The two suspects are due to make a court appearance once they have been charged.
