Tsotsi says he was instructed to suspend senior execs at Eskom

Former Eskom board chairperson Zola Tsotsi says he was instructed to suspend senior executives of the power utility and hold an inquiry into its finances in the presence of President Jacob Zuma.

Tsotsi has told the inquiry into Eskom’s affairs that he was told by former South African Airways board chairperson Dudu Myeni to suspend senior executives at Eskom at the Presidential Durban residence.

He says he later told Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown about these developments. He says there’s a clear collusion between Brown and the Gupta family.

“I told the Minister what happened namely that I was called to attend an audience with the president and that this matter was raised in his presence. I would say she is captured, but that there is a clear collusion between the minister and the Guptas.”
