Traditional healers join fight against albino killings

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Organised traditional healers in Mpumalanga have emphasised that they do not use human flesh for muti purposes. This after the kidnapping and killing of two children, one with albinism, in the province last month.

The traditional healers are gathered in Vosman at eMalahleni for an educational campaign in a bid to end the killing of people with albinism.

The provincial chairperson of the Traditional Health Practitioners, Fanie Mashaba, says traditional healers will never ask for human body parts to heal a person.

The traditional healers have unanimously called for these killings to come to an end and for any culprits to be given harsh sentences.
