Mamelodi Sundowns Coach Pitso Mosimane says the league race this season is not fair. He reacted after his team lost 2-0 to Supersport United in Pretoria Wednesday night. The Brazilians are currently in third position with 44 points, six points behind log leaders Orlando Pirates with two matches in hand.

Sundowns are still awaiting a verdict on Wayne Arendse issue.

Last season, there was also uncertainty regarding the destination of the league title, and the teams at the bottom due to the Tendai Ndoro saga. Ajax Cape Town was relegated after their points were docked.

Mosimane says it is very sad when the fate of the teams is decided in the boardroom.

Arendse was deemed to be ineligible when Sundowns drew 1-1 with Bidvest Wits in September 2018. Arendse, who was not part of the match day squad, replaced the injured Thapelo Morena.

Mosimane says he is not an expert when it comes to rules.

The PSL champions still have a chance to win the league with five matches remaining. They will go level on points with Pirates if they win the next two matches, first against Baroka FC on Saturday and  then Chippa United on Tuesday.

Mosimane says the league is not in their hands anymore.

The Brazilians have a tight schedule in the next coming days; after the Chippa match on Tuesday, they will travel to Morocco to play against Wydad Casablanca in a CAF Champions League semi-final the following day.

Mosimane says they still have the belief they will win the league.
