Telkom customers took their frustrations to social media on Friday for what they call “poor connection problems”. They claim that they cannot even make or receive calls.
Read below what users had to say about the inconvenience, which according to their complaints occurs rather too often.
Telkom has since acknowledged the disruption of lines via a tweet. It assures its annoyed customers that their technicians are working on resolving the issue.
Dear customers, we are currently experiencing disruptions on our mobile voice and data network which may affect your connectivity. Our team of technicians are working on resolving this. We thank you for your patience and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Meanwhile, Telkom, is starting a consultation process with labour unions over its plans to retrench 3 000 employees. Telkom, in which government holds a stake of about 39%, has over R11 billion worth of debt and is struggling with declining performance in fixed voice and fixed data services
