Playing with fire can be a dangerous game, but for 16 year old burns survivor, Sizwe Jones, it was a case where fate meets talent.
The teenager jetted into the country from the UK last week and is already causing a stir at a local kitchen in Johannesburg.
Like a moth to a flame for Sizwe Jones, it’s literally a burning passion.
Fire being an element he should be terrified of, but it’s one that’s ignited a love for the culinary arts.
But this isn’t his only talent, when his not tantalising palettes, he serenades audiences and his getting culinary secrets from head chef Amos Dhlamini.
For now he is whipping up dishes for ordinary folks, but this amateur cook aspires to one day serve delectable meals to Queens and Presidents.
