The rate of unemployment is expected to have improved slightly in the fourth quarter on the back of seasonal hiring. Jobs data will be released on Tuesday.
Stats SA says the unemployment rate increased slightly in the third quarter of 2018 to 27, 5%. This is up from the second quarter’s 27, 2%.
